The votes are in, and we finally have a winner. After thousands of you tried all five contenders in the Per4m Which Whey Wins competition, one flavour pulled ahead of the pack — and it's earning itself a full-size tub.
Maple French Toast has won.
Out of five brand-new Per4m Advanced Whey flavours battling it out for a permanent spot in the range, Maple French Toast came out on top and will be the first to graduate to a full-size tub. You'll be able to grab it in 900g and 2010g — coming soon.
What did it beat?
Don't let the win fool you into thinking it was a walkover. Maple French Toast had to see off four seriously strong contenders, each with its own loyal fanbase:
- Vincent The Caterpillar — a rich, cake-inspired chocolate flavour with buttercream and deep cocoa notes that had the chocolate lovers hooked
- Cinnamon Crunch — the safe bet of the line-up, nailing that familiar cereal-milk taste plenty of people tipped to win
- Churro Pretzel — a bold sweet-and-salty combo that stood out for sheer originality and picked up a devoted following
- Raspberry White Chocolate Matcha — the wildcard, and easily the most experimental of the bunch, mixing tart raspberry, sweet white chocolate and earthy matcha in a way the whey protein world hadn't really seen before
Honestly, any one of these could have taken it. The fact that Maple French Toast stayed ahead across the whole voting period tells you it had the broadest appeal of the five.
Why Maple French Toast won
It hit the sweet spot between adventurous and accessible. You've got maple syrup sweetness, warm cinnamon, caramelised butter and a soft, custardy finish — basically a proper plate of French toast poured into a protein shake.
It's different enough from the usual chocolate, vanilla and strawberry to feel genuinely new, but familiar enough that you know exactly what you're getting before the first sip. That balance is hard to pull off, and it clearly landed with the majority of voters.
Breakfast-inspired protein flavours have been on the rise across the UK for a while now — Maple French Toast rides that trend without ever stopping feeling like a Per4m product.
Coming soon: 900g and 2010g tubs
When it launches, Maple French Toast Per4m Advanced Whey will come in two sizes:
- 900g — a solid place to start if you want to try the full-tub experience before scaling up
- 2010g — the better-value pick if this is going to become a regular in your protein routine
Both deliver the same Per4m Advanced Whey formula — around 24g of protein per serving, a clean ingredient profile, and the competitive pricing Per4m are known for. We'll have stock ready to order the moment it drops, so keep an eye on the Per4m collection page.
What about the other four?
Vincent The Caterpillar, Cinnamon Crunch, Churro Pretzel and Raspberry White Chocolate Matcha won't be moving into full-size tubs for now. If you fancy trying any of the runners-up before they're gone, the original 30g sample sachets are still around while stocks last.
